Irish Stew
A hearty, comforting Irish stew made with tender lamb and root vegetables. Serve with crusty bread for a satisfying meal.
Ingredients
- β1.5 pounds Lamb shoulder
- β2 medium Carrots
- β3 large Potatoes
- β1 large Onions
- β3 cloves Garlic
- β1 cup Irish stout
- β2 cups Water

1. Cut the lamb into 1-inch cubes and season with salt and pepper.

2. Heat a large pot over medium-high heat and brown the lamb in batches, about 5 minutes per batch.

3. Remove the lamb from the pot and set aside.

4. Add the onions and garlic to the pot and cook until the onions are translucent, about 5 minutes.

5. Add the carrots and potatoes to the pot and cook for 5 minutes.

6. Add the browned lamb back to the pot, along with the Irish stout and water.

7. Bring the stew to a boil, then cover the pot and transfer it to the oven.

8. Bake the stew at 300Β°F (150Β°C) for 2 1/2 hours, or until the lamb is tender.
