Sweet and Savory Ouzi Tacos
A unique twist on traditional tacos, combining the sweetness of sweet ouzi and the savory flavors of eastern spices.
Ingredients
- β1 medium-sized piece Sweet Ouziflaky and sweet
- β1 tsp Eastern Spice Blendincludes cumin, coriander, and paprika
- β4 eggs Middle Eastern Eggbeaten and seasoned
- β1 sheet Flaky Pastrythawed and rolled out
- β1 cup Salsamild and homemade
- β2 medium-sized Avocadodiced
- β2 tbsp Lime Juicefreshly squeezed
- β1/4 cup Cilantrochopped and fresh
- β1 cup Queso Frescocrumbled and fresh

Preheat the oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C).

Roll out the flaky pastry and cut into taco-sized squares.

In a bowl, mix together the beaten eggs, eastern spice blend, and a pinch of salt.

Spoon a small amount of the egg mixture onto each pastry square, leaving a 1/2 inch border.

Place a piece of sweet ouzi on top of the egg mixture.

Fold the pastry squares in half to form a taco shape and press the edges to seal.

Place the tacos on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and brush with a little bit of lime juice.

Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown.

While the tacos are baking, heat a pan over medium heat and cook the diced avocado until slightly softened.

Warm a tortilla in the microwave for 10-15 seconds.

Assemble the tacos by placing a few pieces of salsa on the tortilla, followed by a taco, a dollop of avocado, and a sprinkle of queso fresco and cilantro.
