Spicy Korean Beef Stir Fry
A quick and flavorful Japanese-inspired stir fry made with spicy Korean chili flakes and sticky beef.
Ingredients
- β1 pound beef (sirloin), sliced
- β1 tablespoon spicy Korean chili flakes (gochugaru)
- β2 tablespoons soy sauce
- β1 tablespoon brown sugar
- β2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- β1/4 cup green onions, chopped
- β2 cloves garlic, minced

Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.

Add the sliced beef and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes.

Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.

Add the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil to the skillet.

Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.

Add the chopped green onions and cook for an additional minute.

In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, brown sugar, and spicy Korean chili flakes.

Pour the sauce into the skillet and bring to a simmer.

Return the beef to the skillet and cook until the sauce has thickened and the beef is coated, about 2-3 minutes.
