Brazilian-Style Tofu Pão
A vegan twist on traditional Brazilian pão, featuring crispy bread and marinated tofu.
Ingredients
- ●4 slices Soft Brazilian breadpreferably day-old bread
- ●8 oz Marinated tofusee marinating instructions below
- ●1/4 cup Fresh parsleychopped
- ●2 ripe Avocadodiced
- ●2 tbsp Vegan mayonnaiseor to taste
- ●2 tbsp Lime juicefreshly squeezed
- ●1 tsp Garlic powderto taste

1. Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat.

2. Slice the bread into 1-inch thick rounds.

3. Cook the bread rounds in the skillet for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until crispy and golden.

4. Meanwhile, marinate the tofu by mixing together lime juice, garlic powder, and a pinch of salt in a shallow dish.

5. Add the tofu to the marinade and let it sit for at least 10 minutes.

6. Grill or pan-fry the marinated tofu until crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.

7. Assemble the pão by spreading a layer of vegan mayonnaise on each bread round, followed by a slice of marinated tofu, some diced avocado, and a sprinkle of parsley.
