Smoked Duck Teriyaki
A Japanese-inspired dish featuring smoky roasted duck in a sweet teriyaki sauce.
Ingredients

- β2 tbsp roasted sesame oil
- β2 tbsp french soy sauce
- β1 tsp french sugar
- β1 clove roasted garlic
- β1-inch piece roasted ginger
- β1/4 cup french green onions
- β1 tsp roasted sesame seeds

Preheat oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C).

Season the duck breast with salt and pepper.

Heat the sesame oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.

Sear the duck breast until browned, about 2 minutes per side.

Transfer the skillet to the oven and roast the duck for 12-15 minutes or until cooked to your liking.

While the duck is cooking, combine soy sauce, sugar, garlic, and ginger in a small saucepan.

Bring the sauce to a boil over medium heat, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 5-7 minutes or until the sauce has thickened slightly.
