Smoky Moroccan Chicken Tagine
A rich and flavorful tagine made with smoky spices, chicken, and dried fruits.
Ingredients
- β1 1/2 pounds Smoky Chicken Thighsbone-in, skin-on
- β2 tablespoons Olive Oil
- β1 large Onionchopped
- β3 cloves Garlicminced
- β2 teaspoons Moroccan Spice Blend
- β1 teaspoon Cumin
- β1 teaspoon Coriander
- β1 teaspoon Gingergrated
- β2 tablespoons Honey
- β1 cup Dried Apricotschopped

Heat the oil in the bottom of the tagine or a large Dutch oven over medium heat.

Add the onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute.

Add the chicken and cook until browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.

Add the spice blend, cumin, coriander, ginger, and honey. Stir to combine.

Add the apricots and stir to combine.

Cover the tagine and transfer to the preheated oven.

Bake for 30-40 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce is thickened.
