Smoky Italian Stew
A hearty, smoky stew filled with the flavors of Italy. Perfect for a chilly evening.
Ingredients
- β1 pound Smoky Italian SausageCasings removed
- β1 large OnionChopped
- β2 cups Italian Stew TomatoesCanned
- β1 cup Red WineRed wine adds depth to the stew
- β2 cups Beef BrothLow-sodium
- β2 teaspoons Dried BasilFresh or dried
- β2 tablespoons Olive OilFor browning sausage
- βto taste Salt and PepperSeason to taste

Brown the sausage in olive oil over medium-high heat, breaking up with a spoon as it cooks.

Remove the browned sausage from the pot and set it aside.

Add the chopped onion to the pot and cook until it's softened and translucent.

Add the Italian stew tomatoes, beef broth, dried basil, salt, and pepper to the pot.
