Smoky Crumbly Asparagus Quesadilla
A Mexican-inspired quesadilla filled with smoky crumbly cheese, tender asparagus, and a hint of Algerian spices.
Ingredients
- β8 oz smoky crumbly cheese
- β1 bunch asparagus
- β1 tsp algerian spice blend
- β4 flour tortillas
- β2 tbsp olive oil
- βto taste salt
- βto taste pepper
- βoptional crumblfor garnish
Instructions

Preheat a large skillet over medium heat.

In a small bowl, mix together the Algerian spice blend and a pinch of salt.

Add the olive oil to the skillet and swirl to coat.

Add the asparagus to the skillet and sprinkle with the spice blend mixture.

Cook the asparagus for 3-4 minutes, or until tender.

In a separate bowl, crumble the smoky crumbly cheese.

Place a flour tortilla in the skillet and sprinkle with cheese.

Add the cooked asparagus on half of the tortilla.

Fold the tortilla in half and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the tortilla is crispy.

Flip the quesadilla and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.

Cut the quesadilla into wedges and serve hot.
