Smoky British Beef Bowl
A hearty beef bowl with smoky flavors, inspired by British cuisine. Perfect for a cold evening.
Ingredients
- ●500g BeefChuck or brisket work well
- ●250ml Smoky BBQ SauceHomemade or store-bought
- ●60ml British AleFor braising liquid
- ●2 OnionChopped
- ●3 cloves GarlicMinced
- ●4 CarrotsSliced
- ●2 PotatoesSliced
- ●to taste Chopped Fresh ParsleyGarnish

Preheat oven to 160°C (325°F).

Season the beef with salt and pepper. In a large Dutch oven, sear the beef over medium-high heat until browned on all sides.

Remove the beef from the pot, set aside. Add the chopped onion and sauté until softened.

Add the garlic, sauté for 1 minute.

Add the sliced carrots and potatoes, sauté for 5 minutes.

Add the British Ale, bring to a simmer. Return the beef to the pot.

Transfer the pot to the preheated oven and cook for 2.5 hours, or until the beef is tender.

Remove the pot from the oven, stir in the smoky BBQ sauce. Return the pot to the stovetop and simmer over medium heat.

Let the beef rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve the beef with the braised vegetables and garnish with chopped parsley.
