Smoked Beef Bourguignon Indian-Style
This unique fusion dish combines the classic French beef bourguignon with Indian flavors and spices. The tender smoked beef is slow-cooked in a rich and aromatic spiced sauce.
Ingredients
- β1 kg smoked beefsliced into thin strips
- β2 medium french onionssliced
- β2 cups beef brothhomemade or store-bought
- β2 tbsp bourguignonFrench wine
- β2 tsp garam masalaground spices
- β1 tsp coriander powderground spices
- β1 tsp cumin powderground spices
- β1 tsp saltto taste
- β1/2 tsp black pepperto taste
- β2 tbsp ghee or oilfor cooking

Heat oil or ghee in a large Dutch oven over medium heat.

Add sliced onions and cook until they are lightly browned.

Add sliced beef and cook until browned on all sides.

Add beef broth, bourguignon, garam masala, coriander powder, cumin powder, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a boil.

Reduce the heat to low and simmer, covered, for 2 hours or until the beef is tender.
