Slovakian Smoked Lasagna
A unique twist on the classic Italian dish, this Slovakian Smoked Lasagna combines the richness of cheese with the savory flavor of smoked meat.
Ingredients
- β1 pound Smoked Slovakian Sausagesmoked to perfection
- β2 cups shredded Cheesea blend of cheddar and mozzarella
- β8-10 noodles Lasagnawide flat noodles
- β2 tablespoons Cold Buttersoftened to room temperature
- β1 large Eggbeaten for egg wash
- βto taste Saltfor seasoning
- βto taste Black Pepperfreshly ground
- β1/4 cup chopped Fresh Parsleyfor garnish

Preheat the oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

In a large skillet, cook the smoked sausage over medium-high heat until browned.

Add the cold butter to the skillet and stir until melted.

Combine the cheese and egg in a bowl and mix well.

Spread a layer of the cheese mixture on the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish.

Arrange 4 lasagna noodles on top of the cheese layer.

Spread half of the cooked sausage mixture over the noodles.

Repeat the layers: cheese mixture, noodles, and sausage mixture.

Top the final layer of noodles with the remaining cheese mixture.

Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
