Slovakian Lasagna
A traditional Slovakian dish with layers of pasta, cheese, and meat. This recipe is a hearty and satisfying meal.
Ingredients
- β8-10 sheets Lasagna noodles
- β1 lb Ground slow-cooked pork
- β1 cup shredded Slovakian cheese blend
- β1 medium, finely chopped Onion
- β3 cloves, minced Garlic
- β2 cups Tomato sauce
- βto taste Salt
- βto taste Black pepper

Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

Cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

In a large skillet, cook the ground pork over medium-high heat until browned, breaking it up into small pieces as it cooks.

Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet and cook until the onion is translucent.

Stir in the tomato sauce and bring the mixture to a simmer. Reduce the heat to low and let it cook while you assemble the lasagna.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the Slovakian cheese blend and a pinch of salt and pepper.

To assemble the lasagna, spread a layer of the meat sauce in the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish. Arrange 4 lasagna noodles on top of the sauce.

Spread half of the cheese mixture over the noodles, followed by half of the remaining meat sauce.

Repeat the layers, starting with the noodles, then the cheese mixture, and finally the remaining meat sauce.

Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.

Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
