Traditional Turkish Kunefe

Ingredients
- β1 cup Kunefe cheeseavailable at Middle Eastern grocery stores
- β1 package (usually found with kunefe cheese) Phyllo doughshredded or cut into small pieces
- β1 cup Sugargranulated
- β1 cup Water
- β2 tbsp Rose wateroptional
- β1/4 cup Shattering pistachioschopped

Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

In a large bowl, mix together kunefe cheese, sugar, and water until well combined.

Layer shredded phyllo dough in a 9-inch round baking dish.

Pour the cheese mixture over the phyllo dough.

Bake in the preheated oven for 30-40 minutes or until golden brown.

Remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes.
