Saudi Arabian Crème Fraîche Pancakes
A delicate pancake recipe infused with the rich flavors of Arabia, topped with a dollop of crème fraîche and a sprinkle of sugar.
Ingredients

- ●1/2 cup 1/2 cup sugar
- ●2 tsp 2 teaspoons baking powder
- ●1/2 tsp 1/2 teaspoon salt
- ●1 cup 1 cup crème fraîche
- ●2 2 large eggs
- ●2 tbsp 2 tablespoons melted unsalted butter
- ●1 tsp 1 teaspoon saffron threads, soaked in 2 tablespoons hot water
- ●1 tbsp 1 tablespoon rose water

1. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

2. In a large bowl, whisk together crème fraîche, eggs, melted butter, saffron mixture, and rose water.

3. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir until just combined.

4. Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat.

5. Drop the batter by 1/4 cupfuls onto the skillet or griddle.

6. Cook for 2-3 minutes, until bubbles appear on the surface and edges start to dry.
