Bibimbap Korean Rice Bowl
A classic Korean dish made with mixed vegetables, meat, and a fried egg on a bed of rice, Bibimbap is a flavorful meal that's both nourishing and delicious. This recipe combines the essence of Korea's culinary traditions with the comfort of a home-cooked meal.
Ingredients
- β2 cups Short-grain white rice
- β1 cup Assorted vegetables (zucchini, carrots, bean sprouts, shiitake mushrooms)Prep as desired (e.g. slice, chop, etc.)
- β2 tablespoons Korean chili pepper paste (gochujang)For serving

- β1 tablespoon Sesame oilFor frying

- β1 cup Sliced beef (thinly sliced)Optional
- β1 tablespoon Sesame seedsFor garnish
Instructions

Prepare the vegetables and marinate the beef (if using) for at least 30 minutes.

Cook the rice according to the package instructions and set aside.

Heat a tablespoon of sesame oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef (if using) and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.

In the same skillet, add the vegetables and cook until tender, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

To assemble the Bibimbap, place a scoop of cooked rice in the bottom of a bowl. Add the cooked vegetables and beef (if using) on top of the rice.

Create a well in the center of the bowl and add a fried egg. Drizzle the gochujang and soy sauce over the egg and serve immediately.

Garnish with sesame seeds and serve with additional gochujang and soy sauce on the side.
