Saudi Arabian Lamb Tagine
A flavorful and aromatic Japanese-inspired lamb tagine dish, incorporating traditional Saudi Arabian spices and tender lamb.
Ingredients
- β1 pound lamb shoulder
- β2 tablespoons savorydried
- β1 teaspoon tenderdried
- β1 teaspoon saudiground cumin
- β1 teaspoon arabianground coriander
- β1 medium onionchopped
- β3 cloves garlicminced
- β2 tablespoons olive oil

Heat oil in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat.

Sear lamb until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes. Remove and set aside.

Add onion and garlic to pot, cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add savory, tender, saudi, and arabian to pot, cook for 1 minute.

Add lamb back to pot, and pour in 2 cups of water.

Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer, covered, for 2 hours, or until lamb is tender.

Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serve hot, garnished with chopped fresh herbs, if desired.
