Kenyan-Style Meat Stir Fry
A flavorful Kenyan-inspired stir fry made with savory meat and snappy vegetables. This dish is perfect for a quick and easy dinner.
Ingredients
- β500g Meat (beef or chicken)thinly sliced
- β1 Onionmedium-sized
- β1 Bell Pepperany color
- β2 Carrotsmedium-sized
- β100ml Savory saucestore-bought or homemade
- β20g Tomato pasteoptional
- β1 tsp Kenyan spicesor to taste
- β1/2 tsp Saltor to taste
- β1/4 tsp Black pepperor to taste

Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.

Add the thinly sliced meat and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from the pan and set aside.

Add another tablespoon of oil to the pan, then add the sliced onions and cook until they start to brown, about 3-4 minutes.

Add the bell peppers and carrots to the pan, cooking until they start to soften, about 4-5 minutes.

Add the cooked meat back into the pan, along with the savory sauce, tomato paste, Kenyan spices, salt, and black pepper. Stir well to combine.

Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the meat is cooked through and the sauce has thickened.
