Savory Pistachio Dumplings
A Japanese-inspired dish featuring savory dumplings wrapped in a crunchy pistachio crust.
Ingredients
- β1 cup Pistachio CrustGround pistachios
- β1/2 cup Savory FillingChopped Chinese cabbage, 1/4 cup soy sauce, 2 cloves garlic, 1 tsp sesame oil
- β8-10 wrappers Dumpling WrappersHomemade or store-bought
- β1/2 cup Dumpling FillingChopped cabbage, 1/4 cup soy sauce, 2 cloves garlic
- β1 tsp Sesame OilFor brushing dumplings
- βto taste SaltFor seasoning
- β1 tsp Sesame SeedsFor garnish

In a food processor, grind the pistachios into a fine crumb.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the savory filling ingredients and mix well.

Place a dumpling wrapper on a flat surface and place a tablespoon of the savory filling in the center.

Brush the edges of the wrapper with sesame oil.

Fold the wrapper into a triangle and press the edges together to seal the dumpling.

Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.

In a large skillet or wok, heat 2 tablespoons of sesame oil over medium-high heat.

When the oil is hot, add the dumplings and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, until golden brown.
