Prawns Ceviche Recipe
A classic Venezuelan dish featuring marinated prawns in a tangy and refreshing ceviche sauce. This recipe is quick, easy, and perfect for a light meal.
Ingredients
- β1 pound prawns (shrimp)fresh or frozen, peeled and deveined

- β1 cup cevichestore-bought or homemade, see below for recipe
- β2 tablespoons lime juicefreshly squeezed
- β1 small oniondiced
- β1 clove garlicminced

- β1/4 teaspoon black pepperoptional

Rinse the prawns under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.

In a large bowl, combine the prawns, ceviche, lime juice, onion, garlic, salt, and black pepper.

Mix well to combine, being careful not to overmix.

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Just before serving, check the prawns for doneness. They should be opaque and firm to the touch.

Serve the ceviche immediately, garnished with additional lime wedges if desired.
