Japanese Roast Chicken
A delicious and savory Japanese-inspired roast chicken with a rustic twist.
Ingredients
- ●1 whole, 3 lbs chickenthawed
- ●2 tbsp roastdutch
- ●1 tsp dutch
- ●2 tbsp soy sauce
- ●2 tbsp sake
- ●1 tsp brown sugar
- ●1 tsp, grated ginger
- ●1 tsp, minced garlic
- ●1/4 cup, chopped green onions
- ●1 tsp sesame seeds

Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).

In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, sake, brown sugar, ginger, garlic, and sesame seeds.

Rub the mixture all over the chicken, making sure to get some under the skin as well.

Stuff the cavity with green onions and place the chicken in a roasting pan.

Roast the chicken in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

Baste the chicken with the pan juices every 20 minutes to keep it moist and golden brown.

Once the chicken is cooked, let it rest for 10-15 minutes before carving and serving.

Strain the pan juices and serve them on the side as a sauce.
