Savory Sausage Chana Masala
A flavorful twist on traditional Indian cuisine, combining sausages with the popular chana masala recipe. A hearty and aromatic dish perfect for a weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
- β400g sausagesany variety, preferably mildly spiced
- β2 tablespoons robustly spiced indianstore-bought spice blend
- β400g chana masalacanned
- β1 medium onionchopped
- β2 inches gingergrated
- β1 large tomatochopped
- β1 can coconut milkfull-fat
- β1 teaspoon saltto taste
- β1/2 teaspoon black pepperto taste
- β1/4 cup cilantrochopped, for garnish

Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat.

Add the chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.

Add the grated ginger and cook for another minute.

Add the robustly spiced indian and cook for 1 minute, until fragrant.

Add the canned chana masala, coconut milk, salt, and black pepper. Stir well.

Bring the mixture to a simmer and let cook for 10-15 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.

Add the sliced sausages to the pan and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until cooked through.
