Venezuelan-Inspired Samosas
A crispy, indulgent take on traditional Indian samosas, filled with a flavorful blend of spices and herbs.
Ingredients
- ●1 package (usually 20-24 sheets) Phyllo DoughThaw according to package instructions
- ●1 medium, finely chopped Onion
- ●1/4 cup, chopped Cilantro
- ●1 tablespoon, grated Ginger
- ●1 clove, minced Garlic
- ●1 teaspoon, ground Cumin
- ●1 teaspoon, ground Coriander
- ●1/2 teaspoon Turmeric
- ●1/2 teaspoon Salt
- ●1/2 cup, crumbled Venezuelan Cheese (or Queso Fresco)

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

Cut the phyllo dough into 4 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a ball and then flatten into a disk.

In a pan over medium heat, sauté the onion, cilantro, ginger, garlic, cumin, coriander, turmeric, and salt until the onion is translucent.

Stir in the Venezuelan cheese until it's well combined with the spice mixture.

Place a tablespoon of the filling in the center of each phyllo disk.

Fold the dough into a triangle, pressing the edges to seal.

Brush the tops with melted butter or oil.
