Roasted Yam with White Tagine Sauce
A flavorful North African-inspired dish featuring roasted yam, topped with a creamy white tagine sauce.
Ingredients
- β2 large yampeeled and cubed
- β2 tbsp (homemade or store-bought) white tagine sauce
- β1 tbsp algerian olive oil
- β2 cloves garlicminced
- β1 tsp cuminground
- β1 tsp corianderground
- β1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
- βto taste salt
- βto taste black pepper

1. Preheat the oven to 425Β°F (220Β°C).

2. In a large bowl, toss the yam cubes with Algerian olive oil, garlic, cumin, coriander, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper until the yam is evenly coated.

3. Spread the yam mixture on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

4. Roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the yam is tender and lightly caramelized.

5. In a small saucepan, heat the white tagine sauce over low heat.

6. To assemble, place the roasted yam on a serving plate and spoon the white tagine sauce over the top.
