Lamb Pilaf with Rich Flavor
A hearty, flavorful pilaf dish made with lamb and spices. A perfect one-pot meal.
Ingredients
- β1 pound Lamb shoulder, boneless and cut into 1-inch pieces
- β Syrian spice mix(or make your own mix of cumin, coriander, cinnamon, and allspice)
- β1 cup Long-grain rice
- β Pilaf spice mix(or use a combination of saffron, turmeric, and paprika)
- β2 cups Chicken broth
- β2 tablespoons Olive oil
- β1 medium Onion, diced
- β2 cloves Garlic, minced
- β Salt and black pepper
- β Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Heat the olive oil in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat.

Add the lamb pieces and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.

Remove the lamb from the pot and set aside.

Add the onion and garlic to the pot and cook until the onion is translucent, about 5 minutes.

Stir in the Syrian spice mix and cook for 1 minute.

Add the rice, pilaf spice mix, and chicken broth to the pot.

Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 20-25 minutes.

Return the lamb to the pot and stir to combine.

Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley if desired.
