Croatian Pasta Bake
A hearty casserole combining rich flavors of Croatian cuisine with pasta and cheese. Perfect for a satisfying dinner.
Ingredients
- β8 oz (225g) Penne pasta
- β1 cup (250ml) Rich meat sauce (see below for recipe)
- β1 cup (115g) Grated cheese (Cheddar or Parmesan work well)Freshly grated for best flavor
- β2 tbsp (30g) Butter
- β2 cloves Garlic
- β1 tsp (5g) Croatian paprika
- β Salt and pepperTo taste
- β1/4 cup (15g) Fresh parsleyChopped for garnish

Preheat the oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente.

In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.

Add the garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Add the rich meat sauce and stir to combine.

Add the cooked penne pasta to the skillet and toss with the sauce.

Transfer the pasta mixture to a baking dish and top with grated cheese.

Sprinkle the Croatian paprika and chopped parsley over the cheese.
