Tunisian Crispy Cheese Fritters
A crispy fritter filled with rich Tunisian cheese, perfect for a snack or appetizer.
Ingredients
- β1 cup Tunisian cheesericotta or similar
- β1/2 cup All-purpose flourfor crispy coating
- β2 large Eggsfor binding
- β1/4 cup Rich creamfor creamy center
- β1/4 cup Breadcrumbsfor crispy coating
- β1/4 teaspoon Crushed red pepperoptional for spice
- βto taste Saltfor seasoning

In a large mixing bowl, crumble the Tunisian cheese into small pieces.

Add the flour, eggs, rich cream, breadcrumbs, crushed red pepper, and salt to the bowl with the cheese.

Mix the ingredients together until well combined.

Using your hands, shape the mixture into small patties, about 1 1/2 inches in diameter.

Heat about 1/2 inch of oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

When the oil is hot, add a few of the fritters to the skillet (do not overcrowd).

Fry the fritters for about 2-3 minutes on each side, until crispy and golden brown.

Remove the fritters from the oil with a slotted spoon and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

Serve the fritters hot with a side of your favorite dipping sauce.
