Slovakian Crisp Apple Strudel
A classic Slovakian dessert, this strudel combines the warmth of apples with the crunch of a flaky crust.
Ingredients
- β1 1/2 cups Rich Apple Filling
- β1 package (1 lb) Crisp Pastry Dough
- β1/2 cup Buttermelted
- β2 tbsp Sugars
- β2 large Eggs
- β1/2 tsp Cinnamon
- β1/4 tsp Nutmeg
- β1/4 tsp Salt
- β1/2 tsp Vanilla

Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pastry dough to a thickness of about 1/8 inch.

In a large bowl, mix together the apple filling, sugars, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.

Spread the apple mixture evenly over the center of the dough, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges.

Brush the edges of the dough with the melted butter.

Roll the dough into a tight log, starting from one of the long edges.

Place the log seam-side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
