Vietnamese-Style Pork Stew
A hearty and flavorful stew made with tender pork and a variety of spices. Perfect for a cold winter's night.
Ingredients
- β1 pound pork shouldercut into 1-inch cubes
- β1 medium onionchopped
- β3 cloves garlicminced
- β2 tablespoons fish sauce
- β1 tablespoon soy sauce
- β1 tablespoon sugar
- β1 teaspoon Vietnamese chili flakes
- β2 cups water
- β potlarge pot for cooking
Instructions

Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in the pot over medium-high heat.

Add the pork cubes and cook until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes.

Add the chopped onion and minced garlic and cook until the onion is translucent.

Add the fish sauce, soy sauce, sugar, and chili flakes and stir to combine.

Add the water to the pot and bring to a boil.

Reduce the heat to low and simmer, covered, for 1 1/2 hours, or until the pork is tender.
