Pan-Fried Vegetable Dumplings
A Chinese-inspired vegetarian dish featuring pan-fried dumplings filled with a rich mixture of vegetables.
Ingredients
- β12-15 wrappers Dumpling wrappersYou can find these at most Asian grocery stores
- β1 small head CabbageShredded
- β2 medium CarrotsGrated
- β1 bunch Green onionsFinely chopped
- β2 inches GingerGrated
- β2 tablespoons Soy sauceLow-sodium
- β1 tablespoon Olive oilFor brushing dumplings

1. In a large mixing bowl, combine cabbage, carrots, green onions, and ginger.

2. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce and 1 tablespoon of water.

3. Add the soy sauce mixture to the vegetable mixture and stir to combine.

4. Lay a dumpling wrapper on a flat surface and place 1 tablespoon of the vegetable mixture in the center of the wrapper.

5. Brush the edges of the wrapper with a small amount of water.

6. Fold the wrapper into a half-moon shape and press the edges together to seal the dumpling.

7. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.

8. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.

9. When the oil is hot, add the dumplings and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, until they are golden brown.
