Turkish-Style German Bean Pide
A hearty German-inspired pide filled with flavorful Turkish-style beans. Perfect for a satisfying and comforting meal.
Ingredients
- β1 package (450g) pide doughavailable in most supermarkets
- β1 cup (250g) quirky beanssuch as cannellini or Great Northern beans
- β1/2 cup (120g) dense tomato saucehomemade or store-bought
- β1 tsp (5g) turkish spicessuch as sumac, paprika, and cumin
- β1/2 cup (120g) baked mozzarellashredded or sliced
- β1/4 cup (15g) fresh parsleychopped
- β salt
- β pepper

Preheat oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C).

Roll out the pide dough to a thickness of 1/4 inch (6mm).

Spread the dense tomato sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a 1-inch (2.5 cm) border around the edges.

Top the sauce with the quirky beans, followed by the turkish spices.

Place the baked mozzarella on top of the beans.

Fold the edges of the dough up over the filling, pressing gently to seal.

Place the pide on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
