Saudi Arabian Mulukhiyah Biryani
A flavorful and aromatic rice dish from Saudi Arabia, made with mulukhiyah and a blend of spices.
Ingredients
- ●1 bunch Mulukhiyah
- ●2 cups Basmati rice
- ●2 tablespoons Ghee
- ●1 large Onionchopped
- ●3 cloves Garlicminced
- ●1 teaspoon Cumin seedswhole
- ●1 teaspoon Coriander powder
- ●1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder

Heat 1 tablespoon of ghee in a large pan over medium heat.

Add cumin seeds and let them sizzle for 1 minute.

Add chopped onion and sauté until it's translucent.

Add minced garlic and sauté for another minute.

Add mulukhiyah and sauté until it's wilted.

Add coriander powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Mix well.

Add basmati rice to the pan and mix well.

Add 2 cups of water to the pan and bring to a boil.

Reduce the heat to low, cover the pan, and cook for 20-25 minutes or until the rice is cooked.

Fluff the rice with a fork and serve hot.
