Hearty German Cassoulet
A twist on the classic French dish, this German-inspired cassoulet is filled with comforting white beans, savory sausage, and a hint of quick pickled onions.
Ingredients
- ●1 1/2 cups, cooked white beans (cannellini or navy)
- ●1 pound, sliced sausage (such as Knockwurst or Bratwurst)
- ●1/2 cup quick pickled onionssee notes
- ●1/2 cup, torn french bread
- ●1 cup savory sausage broth

Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).

In a large Dutch oven, cook the sliced sausage over medium-high heat until browned.

Remove the cooked sausage from the pot and set it aside.

Add the savory sausage broth to the pot and bring it to a simmer.

Stir in the cooked white beans and cook for 2-3 minutes.
