Tartare of Almond Crusted Fish
A delicate fish tartare coated with a crunchy almond crust, perfect for a light dinner.
Ingredients
- β120g Cod (sashimi-grade)Fresh, sustainable cod
- β60g Almond flourFinely ground almonds
- β30g Quick bread crumbsGluten-free bread crumbs
- β2 tbsp Nutty olive oilExtra virgin olive oil with a nutty flavor
- β1 tbsp Lemon juiceFreshly squeezed lemon juice
- βto taste Fix saltFlaky sea salt
- β2 tbsp Tartare sauce (store-bought or homemade)Optional, but recommended for added flavor

1. Rinse the cod under cold water, pat dry with paper towels.

2. In a shallow dish, mix together almond flour, bread crumbs, and a pinch of fix salt.

3. Coat the cod with the almond mixture, pressing gently to adhere.

4. Heat nutty olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat.

5. Add the coated cod to the skillet and sear for 2-3 minutes on each side.

6. Remove the cod from the skillet and let it rest for 2 minutes.

7. Slice the cod into thin pieces and place on a plate.

8. Drizzle tartare sauce over the cod, if using.

9. Serve immediately, garnished with lemon wedges and fix salt to taste.
