Quick German Bean Hash
A hearty and flavorful German-inspired bean hash recipe, ready in no time.
Ingredients
- β1 can canned beans (such as kidney or black beans)
- β1 cup hash browns
- β1 medium onion
- β2 cloves garlic
- β1/2 cup german sausage (such as bratwurst or knockwurst)optional
- β salt and pepper
- β2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the diced onion and cook until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.

Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute, until fragrant.

Add the canned beans and cook until heated through, about 2-3 minutes.

Add the hash browns and cook until golden brown, breaking them up with a spatula as they cook.

If using german sausage, add it to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spatula as it cooks.

Season with salt and pepper to taste.
