Chicken Tagine
A classic French dish inspired by Algerian flavors, made with tender chicken and aromatic spices.
Ingredients
- β1 1/2 pounds Chicken thighs
- β3 cloves Garlic
- β2 tablespoons Algerian spice mix
- β1 cup Quick-cooking apricots
- β1 cup Chicken broth
- β2 tablespoons Olive oil
- β1 teaspoon Salt
- β1/2 teaspoon Black pepper
- β1/4 cup Fresh parsley

1. Heat the olive oil in the bottom of a tagine or Dutch oven over medium heat.

2. Add the garlic and cook, stirring occasionally, until fragrant, 2-3 minutes.

3. Add the chicken and cook, stirring occasionally, until browned on all sides, 5-7 minutes.

4. Add the Algerian spice mix, salt, and black pepper. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 1 minute.

5. Add the chicken broth and bring to a simmer.

6. Cover the tagine or Dutch oven and transfer to the oven. Bake at 300Β°F (150Β°C) for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.

7. Stir in the apricots and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
