Pan-Seared Gyoza
Crunchy and savory Japanese dumplings filled with tofu, pan-seared to perfection.
Ingredients
- ●1 block (14 oz) Tofudrained and crumbled
- ●20-24 wrappers Gyoza wrappersusually found in the Asian food section
- ●2 tablespoons Soy sauceor to taste
- ●1 tablespoon Sesame oilor to taste
- ●1 tablespoon Quick-fry sauceoptional
- ●1 tablespoon Gingergrate and sauté with tofu
- ●1/4 cup Green onionschopped and garnish

1. Preheat a non-stick skillet or wok over medium-high heat.

2. In a pan, heat sesame oil and sauté ginger until fragrant.

3. Add crumbled tofu and cook until lightly browned.

4. Add soy sauce and quick-fry sauce (if using) and stir-fry until combined.

5. Lay a gyoza wrapper on a flat surface and place a tablespoon of the tofu mixture in the center.

6. Dip your finger in a small amount of water and run it along the edges of the wrapper.

7. Fold the wrapper into a triangle by bringing the two opposite corners together to form a point.

8. Press the edges together to seal the gyoza and press the edges to seal.

9. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.

10. Add 1-2 tablespoons of oil to the preheated skillet and swirl it around.

11. Place the gyoza in the skillet, seam-side down, and pan-fry until the bottom is golden brown.

12. Flip the gyoza over and cook until the other side is also golden brown.
