Saudi Arabian Ham and Serrano Tagine
A traditional Saudi Arabian-inspired stew made with tender ham, spicy serrano peppers, and a blend of aromatic spices.

- β2 Serrano peppersDiced, seeds removed
- β2 tsp Crumbly Saudi Arabian spice mixAvailable at Middle Eastern markets
- β2 tbsp Quenched lemon juiceFreshly squeezed
- β1 tsp Arabian tagine spice blendAvailable at Middle Eastern markets
- β2 tbsp Coconut oil
- β1 medium OnionChopped
- β1-inch piece GingerGrated

Heat the coconut oil in a large tagine or Dutch oven over medium heat.

Add the chopped onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add the grated ginger and cook for an additional 1 minute.

Add the diced ham and cook until lightly browned, about 5 minutes.

Add the diced serrano peppers, crumbly Saudi Arabian spice mix, Arabian tagine spice blend, and quenched lemon juice.

Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.

Reduce heat to low and cook, covered, for 20-25 minutes or until the meat is tender.

Season with salt to taste and serve hot, garnished with fresh cilantro if desired.
