Ukrainian Cheese Dumplings
A traditional Ukrainian dish made with flaky pastry and melted cheese. Serve as a snack or dessert.
Ingredients
- ●1 sheet flaky pastrythawed
- ●12-15 ukrainian dumplingshomemade or store-bought
- ●1 cup, shredded gouda cheese
- ●1/2 cup, grated cheese
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Roll out the flaky pastry to a thickness of 1/8 inch.

Cut out circles of pastry using a cookie cutter or the rim of a glass.

Place a dumpling in the center of each circle of pastry.

Fold the pastry over the dumpling to form a triangle or square shape, and press the edges to seal.

Place the dumplings on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Brush the tops of the dumplings with melted butter or egg wash.

Bake the dumplings in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.

While the dumplings are baking, melt the gouda cheese in a saucepan over low heat.

Once the dumplings are done, remove them from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes.

Serve the dumplings hot with the melted gouda cheese spooned over the top.
