Tunisian Lamb Casserole
A hearty Italian-inspired casserole with tender lamb and rich flavors.
Ingredients
- β500g Lambground
- β2 tbsp Olive oilfor browning
- β2 medium Onionschopped
- β3 cloves Garlicminced
- β2 tbsp Tomato pastecrushed
- β400g Canned crushed tomatoesdrained
- β2 tsp Tunisian seasoningmixed
- βto taste Salt and pepperfor seasoning
- β250g Pastadried

Preheat the oven to 180Β°C (350Β°F).

Cook pasta according to package instructions and set aside.

Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add lamb and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks.

Add onions and garlic to the pan and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add tomato paste, crushed tomatoes, and Tunisian seasoning to the pan, stirring to combine.

Season with salt and pepper to taste.

In a large bowl, combine cooked pasta, lamb mixture, and a little grated cheese (optional). Mix well.

Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and top with more grated cheese (if using).

Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
