Argentinian Prosciutto Empanadas
Crispy empanadas filled with a savory blend of prosciutto, pungent onions, and dense beef.
Ingredients
- β6 slices Prosciutto
- β1 medium Pungent OnionChopped
- β1 lb Dense Ground Beef
- β1 package Argentinian Empanada DoughHomemade or store-bought
- βto taste Salt
- βto taste Pepper
Instructions

Preheat oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C).

Roll out the empanada dough to a thickness of 1/8 inch.

Cut out circles of dough using a cookie cutter or the rim of a glass.

In a pan, cook the chopped onion until softened.

Add the ground beef to the pan and cook until browned, breaking it up into small pieces.

Add the prosciutto to the pan and stir to combine.

Place a spoonful of the beef mixture onto one half of each dough circle.

Fold the other half of the dough over the filling and press the edges together to seal.

Brush the tops of the empanadas with a little water and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
