Canadian Tofu Bake
A French-inspired dish featuring pungent flavors and a crispy tofu bake. This recipe is a great option for a satisfying and comforting meal.
Ingredients
- β1 block (12 oz) tofu
- β1 cup (250g) canadian cheese
- β1 cup (120g) pungent mushroomssuch as cremini or shiitake
- β1 cup (120g) all-purpose flour
- β2 tsp bake seasoning
- β2 tbsp olive oil
- β2 cloves garlic
- β1 medium onion
- β1 tsp dried thyme

Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

Cut the tofu into 1-inch cubes and set aside.

In a bowl, mix together flour, bake seasoning, and a pinch of salt.

Dip each tofu cube into the flour mixture, coating evenly.

Heat the olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the garlic and onion and cook until softened.

Add the mushrooms to the pan and cook until they release their moisture and start to brown.

Add the coated tofu cubes to the pan and cook until golden brown on all sides.

Transfer the tofu mixture to a baking dish and top with Canadian cheese.
