Japanese Crust Gratin
A Japanese-inspired twist on a classic gratin, featuring Norwegian salmon and a crispy crust.
Ingredients
- β4 Norwegian salmon fillets6 oz each
- β1 cup Gruyere cheeseshredded
- β1 sheet Crust (homemade or store-bought)
- β1 bunch Poached asparagusspears
- β2 tbsp Unsalted butter
- β2 tsp Soy sauce

Preheat the oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C).

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet.

Drizzle with soy sauce and dot with butter.

Bake for 12-15 minutes or until cooked through.

Meanwhile, roll out the crust to a thickness of 1/8 inch.

Transfer the crust to a 9x13 inch baking dish.

Top the crust with the shredded Gruyere cheese.

Arrange the poached asparagus spears on top of the cheese.

Place the baked salmon on top of the asparagus.

Return to the oven and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
