Phyllo Pie
A traditional Greek dessert with layers of flaky phyllo pastry and a sweet, creamy filling.
Ingredients
- β1 package (thawed) Phyllo pastry
- β1 cup Greek yogurt
- β1/2 cup Honey
- β1/4 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
- β1/4 teaspoon Vanilla extract
- βfor greasing phyllo Bee's wax or cooking spray
- β1/2 cup, chopped Walnuts (optional)
- β1 tablespoon Sugar
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C).

Thaw phyllo pastry according to package instructions. Cover with a damp cloth to prevent drying.

In a bowl, mix together yogurt, honey, cinnamon, and vanilla extract.

Unroll phyllo pastry and cut into 4 equal pieces.

Brush each piece with butter or cooking spray.

Place a piece of phyllo pastry in a baking dish and brush with butter or cooking spray.

Spread a layer of the yogurt mixture on top of the phyllo pastry.

Repeat the layers two more times, ending with a layer of phyllo pastry on top.

Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.

If using walnuts, sprinkle on top of the phyllo pastry during the last 5 minutes of baking.

Remove from oven and let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
