Pillowy Turkish Dumplings with Pilaf
A traditional Turkish dish featuring pillowy dumplings served with a flavorful pilaf.
Ingredients
- β2 cups Pillowy dough
- β1 cup Turkish pilaf rice
- β1 pound Ground beef
- β1 medium Onion
- β3 cloves Garlic
- β Salt and black pepper
- β1/4 cup Parsley

In a large mixing bowl, combine the pillowy dough ingredients. Knead for 10 minutes.

Divide the dough into 20-25 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a ball and then flatten it slightly into a disk shape.

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks.

Add the onion and garlic to the skillet and cook until the onion is translucent.

Add the pilaf rice to the skillet and stir to combine with the meat mixture.

Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and cover the skillet.

Simmer the pilaf for 20-25 minutes or until the liquid has been absorbed and the rice is tender.

While the pilaf is cooking, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.

Gently add the pillowy dumplings to the boiling water and cook for 10-15 minutes or until they float to the surface.

Remove the dumplings from the water with a slotted spoon and place them on a plate.

To serve, place a few dumplings on a plate and spoon some of the pilaf alongside the dumplings. Garnish with parsley.
