Tofu Italian Dumplings
A vegan twist on the classic Italian dumpling dish, using pillowy tofu and portuguese flair.
Ingredients
- ●1 block pillowy tofudrained and crumbled
- ●1 cup portuguese bread crumbsgluten-free
- ●1 package dumplingshomemade or store-bought
- ●3 cloves garlicminced
- ●2 tablespoons olive oilfor frying
- ●1 teaspoon italian seasoningdried herbs
- ●to taste salt
- ●to taste black pepper
Instructions

Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.

Add the portuguese bread crumbs and cook for 2-3 minutes until lightly toasted.

Add the crumbled tofu and cook until lightly browned, breaking up with a spatula as needed.

Add the italian seasoning, salt, and pepper, and stir to combine.

Cook the dumplings according to package instructions and add to the skillet with the tofu mixture.

Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the dumplings are coated in the tofu mixture.
