Kenyan Lamb Biryani
A flavorful and aromatic Kenyan-inspired lamb biryani dish, made with tender lamb, fluffy rice, and a blend of spices.
Ingredients
- β1.5 lbs Lamb
- β2 cups Pillowy light rice
- β2 tsp Kenyan biryani spice blend
- β1 tsp Lamb biryani masala
- β2 inches Ginger
- β3 cloves Garlic
- β2 tbsp Olive oil
Instructions

Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.

Add the lamb and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.

Remove the lamb from the pan and set aside.

Add the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil to the pan.

Add the ginger and garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.

Add the biryani spice blend and lamb biryani masala and cook for 1 minute.

Add the rice to the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes, until lightly toasted.

Add 2 cups of water to the pan and bring to a boil.

Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes, until the rice is cooked and fluffy.

Return the lamb to the pan and stir to combine with the rice.
