Bistek Tagalog
A classic Filipino dish made with thinly sliced beef, onions, and a hint of patis. This recipe is a simple and flavorful take on the traditional bistek tagalog.
Ingredients
- ●1 pound beef (thinly sliced)preferably ribeye or sirloin
- ●1 medium onion (thinly sliced)about 1 cup
- ●2 tablespoons patis (fish sauce)adjust to taste

Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat.

Add beef and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes per side.

Remove beef from pan and set aside.

Add more oil if necessary, then sauté onions until caramelized, about 5 minutes.

Add patis and stir to combine.

Return beef to pan and pour in patis mixture.
