Pan-Seared Fish with Crumbly Crust
A French-inspired dish featuring pan-seared fish topped with a crumbly crust, perfect for a quick dinner.
Ingredients
- β4 fish filletwhite fish such as tilapia or cod
- β2 tsp crumbly eastern spice mixavailable at most middle eastern grocery stores
- β1/4 cup peppery breadcrumbshomemade or store-bought
- β2 tbsp middle eastern olive oilrich in flavor and antioxidants
- βto taste saltpreferably flaky sea salt
- βto taste pepperfreshly ground black pepper

Preheat oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C).

Season the fish fillet with salt and pepper.

Mix the crumbly eastern spice mix with the peppery breadcrumbs.

Dip the fish fillet in the middle eastern olive oil, coating both sides.

Coat the fish fillet with the crumbly breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere.

Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add a small amount of middle eastern olive oil.

Sear the coated fish fillet for 2-3 minutes on each side, until golden brown.
