Pan-Seared Punjabi Dumplings
A fusion of Indian and Chinese flavors, these pan-seared dumplings are a hearty and satisfying meal. Serve with your favorite chutney or sauce.
Ingredients
- β2 cups all-purpose flour
- β1 cup water
- β20-24 wrappers wonton wrappers
- β2 tsp punjabi spice blend
- β1 small onion
- β1 tsp garam masala
- βto taste salt
- β2 tbsp ghee or oil
- βfor garnish chopped cilantro

1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, water, and punjabi spice blend. Mix until a dough forms.

2. Knead the dough for 5-7 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.

3. Divide the dough into 20-24 equal portions.

4. Roll out each portion into a thin circle.

5. Place a wonton wrapper in the center of each dough circle.

6. Add a small spoonful of the onion-garam masala mixture to the center of each wonton wrapper.

7. Fold the dough over the filling to form a triangle or a square shape.

8. Press the edges together to seal the dumpling.

9. Heat 1 tablespoon of ghee or oil in a large non-stick pan over medium heat.

10. Add the dumplings to the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, until golden brown.
