Turkish Kunefe Cheesecake
A twist on the traditional Turkish kunefe dessert, this cheesecake combines the crispy phyllo with a creamy cheese filling.
Ingredients
- β250g Kunefe cheese
- β1 package (thawed) Phyllo dough
- β1 cup Pistachio syrup
- β1 cup Granulated sugar
- β1/4 cup Unsalted butter, melted
- β1 Egg, beaten

Preheat oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C).

Thaw phyllo dough according to package instructions.

Cut phyllo into 4 equal pieces.

In a bowl, mix together kunefe cheese, sugar, and pistachio syrup.

Brush melted butter on each phyllo piece.

Place one phyllo piece in the bottom of a springform pan.

Spread half of the cheese mixture on top of the phyllo.

Repeat the layers: phyllo, cheese mixture, phyllo, and finally the remaining cheese mixture.

Bake for 35-40 minutes or until golden brown.
